Artificial Intelligence is progressively bringing new means and methods to our industry. Beyond a mere technological shift, it is a radical evolution of our practices. Laying down a rigorous understanding of AI, and framing its inception in our field will define our ability to harvest its potential. In this guest lecture, Stanislas Chaillou discusses the new role of AI in architectural design practices, and illustrate it with some of his own work. Recorded on 2019/11/13. Stanislas received his undergraduate degree in Architecture at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne. Focusing his practice around Architecture and Technology, he believes in the necessary integration of both disciplines to change our built environment. He has previously worked at internationally renowned firms including Adrian Smith & Gordon Gill in Chicago, Shigeru Ban Architects in Tokyo, Flux.io in San Francisco, and others, and works currently at Spacemaker.AI
